The holidays are a time for family. No matter what your faith is, this time of year always has an added emphasis on spending time with your loved ones. While it can be stressful, it’s normally a heartwarming time of year that revolves around good company and something we love just as much as family:
Yes, in addition to being about family, the holidays are about eating as many tasty home-cooked meals as possible. Turkey, stuffing, gravy, glazed hams, pies of all kinds, and, at least in our home, eggplant parm are all par for the course and welcome to be eaten all at once. To us here at Real Estate Associates, holiday food is simply magical.
Food, unfortunately, doesn’t just appear by magic. Every home cook has their dream kitchen, a space in which they can prepare all five courses at once while simultaneously sharing drinks with brothers, sisters and cousins from faraway lands like Indiana. Being in the real estate business, we have the opportunity to view some stunning cooking spaces up close and have assembled (in no particular order) a list of our favorite kitchens.
All homes in this list are currently on the market and listed with Real Estate Associates:
Gas range, double oven, all stainless everything, granite countertops AND an ocean view? Yes please.
Custom cherry cabinetry, Wolf range with griddle and matching stainless hood vent, Sub-Zero fridge enclosed in cabinetry, double wall ovens with warming drawer, angled granite breakfast nook and views of the home’s in-ground pool. Did we forget the Tiffany pendant lighting?
Gas range built right into the countertops, another double oven, stainless fridge with bottom mounted freezer, gorgeous glass-fronted cabinets and views of the 4.6 acre waterfront grounds. I could do Thanksgiving here.
Check out this masterfully restored Victorian-era kitchen. Thanks to some great planning by the original owners 113 years ago, the Labyrinth House has a bright, airy and spacious kitchen with seating for four at the bar and a breakfast nook. Views of the property’s 1+ acres of eye-friendly grounds make up for the lack of some bells and whistles. Beedeboard, bright cabinets, gas fixtures and the home’s history as a bed and breakfast means you can do some serious cooking here.
